Tenure track professorship position in Building Physics in Austria

Contract Type: 

Fully employed, probably from 1 January 2021, at the Institute for Building Construction (Unit of Building Physics). The position is initially restricted to six years as a university assistant with doctorate, 40h per week and the successful candidate is expected to start on January, 1st, 2020.
Upon agreement on a qualification agreement, the candidate will be appointed as assistant professor. As soon as the qualification agreement has been fulfilled, the position will be converted into a tenured position as associate professor.
Required academic qualification: PhD or equivalent in civil engineering, architecture or similar
Skills/ qualifications
• Research focus in the area of building physics in the built environment (such as building performance monitoring and measurements, building performance simulation, hygrothermal modelling, effects of climate change, etc.)
• Excellent scientific achievements and publications with international recognition
• Motivation, experience and didactic skills
• Experience in the acquisition of research projects
• Anchored in the international scientific community
• Ability to work in a team
Specific requirements
• Research in building physics
• Acquisition and management of research projects (EU, FFG, FWF etc.)
• Publication of research results at international conferences and in international journals
• supervision of master theses and (if possible) collaboration in the supervision of PhD theses
• Independent teaching at bachelor and master level
Language skills: Basic German skills, very good English skills
